Punjab's Delay in Winter Vacation Notification Sparks Confusion

The Punjab Education Department's lack of clarity over winter vacation dates has left parents, teachers, and school administrators in a state of confusion. 

Despite an earlier announcement that winter holidays would commence on December 20, 2024, and continue until January 10, 2025, no official notification has been issued as of December 16, 2024.

The provincial education minister had previously suggested revising the vacation schedule due to the extended winter season, proposing adjustments to the dates. However, no formal communication has been made regarding these changes.

Meanwhile, Sindh has finalized its winter break schedule, declaring holidays from Sunday, December 22, 2024, to Tuesday, December 31, 2024. The Sindh government's school education department steering committee approved the 10-day break, with schools and colleges set to reopen on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

The delay in Punjab's decision has left stakeholders eager for updates, as they await clarity from the authoirties.
