LAHORE – The Punjab Education Department has updated the schedule for winter vacations in schools across the province, just a day after issuing the initial notification.
According to the revised notification, winter holidays will now commence on Monday, December 23, instead of Friday, December 20, as previously announced.
The updated schedule reduces the winter break from 24 days to 21 days, with schools set to remain closed from December 23, 2024, to January 10, 2025. Schools will reopen on Monday, January 13, 2025, following the weekend break on January 11-12, 2025.
This revised schedule applies to both private and government schools in Punjab.
The decision aims to provide a safe and comfortable break for students and staff during the colder months, ensuring they return refreshed for the new academic term.
